These Terms apply to:

• Vendors who list or apply to list with Tauranga Weddings
• Couples and users who browse, make enquiries or engage with vendors found on our platform

1. OUR ROLE

Tauranga Weddings is a curated online directory designed to showcase trusted wedding vendors in the Bay of Plenty and surrounding regions.

We provide:

• A platform for vendors to appear in our directory
• Inspiration, information, and contact pathways for couples
• Optional promotional opportunities such as features and social media content

We do not:

• Act as an agent, representative, or guarantor for any vendor
• Enter into contracts on behalf of couples or vendors
• Involve ourselves in pricing, availability, or service delivery
• Handle payments or bookings between couples and vendors

All bookings, agreements, payments, disputes, and service outcomes are strictly between the couple and the vendor.

2. USERS OF THE DIRECTORY

2.1 No Guarantees or Endorsements

Although we curate our vendor list carefully, inclusion in the directory does not constitute:

• A guarantee of availability, quality, or suitability
• A promise that a vendor will meet your expectations
• An endorsement beyond their acceptance into the directory

Couples are responsible for conducting their own due diligence, including:

• Reviewing contracts and pricing
• Asking questions
• Checking reviews
• Confirming availability
• Understanding cancellation policies
• Ensuring any permits, insurances, or documentation are in place

We provide a curated starting point, not a binding recommendation.

2.2 No Responsibility for Vendor Performance

Tauranga Weddings is not responsible for:

• Misrepresentation or inaccurate information provided by vendors
• Cancellations, no-shows, disputes, or contractual issues
• Damages, losses, delays, injury, or dissatisfaction resulting from vendor services
• Communication failures between couples and vendors

Any legal or financial resolution must be sought directly with the vendor.

2.3 Enquiries Sent Through the Platform

When a couple submits an enquiry form or clicks an email or website link:

• The enquiry is sent directly to the vendor
• Tauranga Weddings does not mediate or oversee communication
• We do not store or monitor messages aside from the initial enquiry for accuracy or safety
• Couples agree not to misuse contact details provided on the directory

2.4 User Conduct

Couples agree not to:

• Use the directory for spam or inappropriate communication
• Misuse vendor information
• Post or share defamatory content
• Circumvent vendor processes or misuse contact forms

3. FOR VENDORS

‍

3.1 Vendor Eligibility

‍

Vendors must:

• Operate a legitimate business in the wedding industry
• Supply accurate, high-quality information and imagery
• Meet our professional, ethical, and quality standards
• Hold required licences and insurances

We reserve the right to remove listings at our discretion.

3.2 Accuracy of Vendor Content

‍

Vendors are responsible for ensuring that:

• All supplied information is truthful and current
• All imagery and media have appropriate permissions, including from couples and photographers
• Their listing accurately reflects their services and pricing

3.3 Payments & Billing

‍

Vendor listings are billed annually. Fees:

• Are in NZD
• Include GST where applicable
• Are non-refundable unless required by law

Non-payment may result in removal.

3.4 Cancellation & Termination

• You may cancel your listing anytime, but refunds are not provided.
• We may suspend or remove listings due to misconduct, misrepresentation, poor behaviour, complaints, or breach of terms.

3.5 Content Rights

‍

You grant Tauranga Weddings permission to use your supplied imagery and content across the directory and our marketing channels. You confirm that you have necessary permissions.

4. PLATFORM USE AND AVAILABILITY

‍

We aim for smooth operation, but:

• Outages, maintenance, or updates may occur
• Features may be changed or removed
• We are not liable for downtime or data loss

5. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

‍

To the fullest extent permitted by New Zealand law;

Tauranga Weddings is not liable for:

• Losses arising from interactions or agreements between couples and vendors
• Inaccuracies in vendor information
• Service failures, cancellations, or disputes
• Damages, injuries, delays, or dissatisfaction
• Indirect, consequential or incidental damages

Our maximum liability for any claim is limited to the total fees paid to us by the vendor in the preceding 12 months.

Couples agree that use of the directory is at their own discretion and risk.

6. PRIVACY

‍

We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Couples and vendors are responsible for complying with NZ privacy laws when handling each other’s information.

7. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

‍

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of our platform indicates acceptance.
